You
will find more scriptures in the Bible about God reestablishing the nation
of Israel
than on almost any other Bible subject, even the subject of salvation. Why
is this subject
so important to God and what part does the church of the Lord Jesus Christ
have to play in the fulfillment of God’s plan for the Jewish people?
THE ROMAN ROAD: Even while reading about God’s wonderful plan of
salvation in the book of Romans, many Christians fail to realize that when
the Apostle Paul asked the question, “Who shall separate us from the love
of Christ?” (ROMANS 8:35), he also asked the question, “Hath God cast away
his people (the Jews)? God forbid.” (ROMANS 11:1)
God has not cast away His people the Jews. “For the gifts and the calling
of God are without repentance.” (ROMANS 11:29) The book of Romans goes on
to say, “We then that are strong (in faith) ought to bear the infirmities
of the weak (in faith), and not to please ourselves.”
There is no doubt that Christians everywhere owe a debt to the Jewish
people. The one we call savior came from the “root of Jesse”. Were it not
for the Jewish people preserving the word of God throughout centuries of
persecution we would not have the Bible we have today. They have
ministered to us in spiritual things and it is our duty to minister to
them in natural things--standing with them to see the fulfillment of all
that God has promised to perform on their behalf. We believe that God is
raising up a group of believers who will pay this debt in full and that
our part is to educate pastors and their congregations about God’s plan
for the nation of Israel.
